Yes, the External Quartz Carpet Classic system comprises of quartz stone mixed with Aliphatic Polyurethane which is by the nature of its chemical generic 100% UV stable, colour fast and will not yellow over time.
The quartz stone is mixed on site with our proprietary resins. This stone and resin mixture is then trowelled by hand to a specified thickness creating a seamless stone surface and allowed to dry.
No, when you walk barefoot on the Quartz Carpet® stone surface it feels smooth and tactile underfoot as the stones are naturally tumbled and rounded which results in having no sharp edges, chips or fissures.
No, Quartz Carpet® is warmer than tiles in winter and cooler than tiles in summer and has the same ambient temperature as the air. This is due to the small pockets of air within the stones of the flooring system.
Yes, the Quartz Carpet® stone flooring system is under-floor heating compliant. It is able to withstand a constant temperate of 65 degrees Celsius and a non-continuous temperature of 100 degrees Celsius.

Yes, Quartz Carpet® can be installed vertically on walls and on staircases. To prevent wear on the edge of the step, a metal protection nosing trim is installed.
We recommend using the Quartz Carpet® Classic Pore filled or Fine Grain system in kitchens. The Quartz Carpet® Pore filled and Fine Grain systems are a fully sealed flooring option which only requires a simple wipe to remove fallen foodstuff.
Yes, Quartz Carpet® can incorporate patterns, corporate logos and colour changes across the floor. Special formable trims are used to create the shape of the desired pattern and to separate colours, while special “cut-outs” are used for logos. Logos can be colour matched on request.
Yes, Quartz Carpet is stain resistant to almost all everyday household spillages.
The Quartz Carpet® external system has been specifically developed to be UV stable and will not yellow through exposure to the sun. The Quartz Carpet® internal system is not designed to be as UV stable. Both systems look identical after installation.
Yes, Quartz Carpet® is very easy to clean. Treat the internal floor as you would a normal fabric carpet, and vacuum the floor to remove any dust or dirt. Periodically, you may use a wet and dry vacuum cleaner, neutral cleaning detergent and/or only warm water to deep clean the floor. Alternatively, you can use a damp microfibre mop to spruce up the floor after vacuuming. For external floors, jet spray water on the floor through a simple Gardena type hose nozzle and gently sweep in a circular motion with a soft broom to remove any dirt build up. Suction the residual dirty water from the floor with a wet and dry vacuum cleaner.
No, Quartz Carpet® may only be installed by approved and licenced applicators that are specifically trained in the application of Quartz Carpet®. We continually train new applicators at our dedicated training centres in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
A Quartz Carpet® flooring system is generally ready for foot traffic within 24 hours after installation. Installation requires one day of preparation and priming, followed by a second day of screeding and over 100m2 + can be laid in a single day. For fast track projects, a specially designed proprietary quick drying primer can be used, allowing floors of 100m2 + to be completed in only 1 day if required! A Quartz Carpet® floor takes roughly 25% of the time of tiling a floor.
Yes, Quartz Carpet® can be installed over your existing tiled floor provided that your current floor has no movement or structural faults. An applicator would be able to assess if your flooring surface is suitable to have Quartz Carpet® applied over it. Cracked or damaged floors will need to be repaired by the contractor prior to installing Quartz Carpet®.
Quartz Carpet® can be repaired by an applicator. Please insist that your installer leaves a bag of attic/extra stock on site, for this purpose.
Quartz Carpet® Classic has 36 colours in the colour range and Quartz Carpet® Fine Grain has 6 colours in the colour range. We are able to colour match corporate colours on request and blend different colours together.
No, Quartz Carpet® is not flammable and International Test results show that it does not ignite nor spread the fire source. Please see test results in Quartz Carpet® Classic technical data section.

The sustainable quartz stone used is washed, fire dried, graded, has a residual moisture content of less than 2%, is 99% pure SiO2. and measures 8 on the Measure of Hardness scale (MOH), whereas a diamond measures 10.The imported quartz is processed and packaged in an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 EU Certified plant.
The Resins used are solvent free and contain zero VOC’s.
